2020 Festival Cancelled
It is with great sadness that we announce The Shuttle Shuffle Festival will be cancelled in 2020
Our priority is the health and wellbeing of our audiences, performers and staff. Following the Covid-19 outbreak we have followed Government advice and guidance, particularly the social distancing measures, and we believe that the only responsible course of action is to cancel the event.
Tickets already purchased will still be valid for the 2021 festival or if you wish you can claim a refund from your original ticket provider.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our supporters and sponsors for their continued support during this unprecedented time.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the Festival in 2021 and will remain in touch throughout the year.
Please take care of yourselves and your loved ones and stay safe and healthy.

Tony Wright (Terrorvision)
PLAYING AT SHUTTLE SHUFFLE FESTIVAL, SATURDAY 17TH AUGUST 2019
Tony Wright is best known as the singer for Bradford rock band Terrorvision. However, when he's not touring with Terrorvision, he writes, records and tours under his own name with a setlist made up of songs he has written on his acoustic guitar - some upbeat, some melancholic, but all thought-provoking.
To say Tony is a busy man would be an understatement. In addition to his three albums with his post-Terrorvision band ‘LaikaDog’, he has now released two solo albums to date with a third one in the works. ‘Thoughts ’n’ All’ is just Tony and his acoustic guitar. The follow up, ‘Walnut Dash’, released last year brought the evolution of Tony with his acoustic guitar and a full band.
Tony will be out and about at Shuttle Shuffle 2019 picking up inspiration in preparation for the new release. Be sure to catch him on because you never know - you might just end up being the subject of one of his songs.

One Sided Horse
We can confirm that One Sided Horse, the brain child of Mark Whiteside will be playing at this years festival. His solo project is a far cry from the radically different Evil Blizzard where "Side" his singing drummer alter ego, haunts audiences from the back of the stage. Here we see Mark move front and centre and with the help of some of his friends, create a new kind of sound which fans of Mark's work will love.
Mark has shaped a collection of songs, both haunting and melodic, and after playing them to friends and family, over mobile phones, in fields and in his flat, the One Sided Horse journey began. Sometimes solo and sometimes with the EMBRACE boys, Mark has toured extensively with the likes of Britpop favourites DODGY and has supported EMBRACE on their tours.

Eduardo Niebla
Eduardo Niebla – “Stunning flamenco jazz”
Hailed by the Guardian for his “exquisite guitar playing”, the formidable virtuoso and composer Eduardo Niebla presents his amazing repertoire of “stunning flamenco jazz” with guitarist Matthew Robinson. A master of today’s generation Eduardo has traversed the worlds of jazz, classical, world and pop music, collaborating with such diverse partners as Craig David, Juno Reactor, sitar maestro Nishat Khan, Lol Coxhill (sax) and the Dante String Quartet.
A spellbinding evening of passion, verve and fleet fingered virtuosity from one of the most potent forces in flamenco jazz fusion.
“Poignantly poetic... and truly breathtaking” (SCOTSMAN)
“Eduardo - virtuoso? Inventive improviser? Yes and yes. And creative composer too. Writer of beautiful melodies, great grooves … He cast a deep, engrossing spell over the audience which transported them to other places, to the distant past, to India, Arabia, North Africa, Spain - tracing the link between modern Flamenco and the ancient music of India. And then on to the New World, to South and Central America for the rumba. At the end of the concert he thanked the audience for having been present while the band "searched for these deep places in the music". Believe me, they found them. (LONDON JAZZ NEWS)

Quicksilver Kings
Their music is so authentically bathed in purer retro styles that it becomes almost postmodern music. Every once in a while you’ll come across a group of musicians that inspire you to find every scrap of music that they have created – The Quicksilver Kings is one of those groups. The Quicksilver Kings walk a fine line between chaos and harmony, writing tunes from another era - simple songs that punch above their musical weight and capture the attention and imagination of all who hear them. Amassing a loyal following, they have received airplay on both local and national BBC radio and play support slots with the likes of Dodgy, The Beat, The Christians and the CC Smugglers.

Seamonsters
We're so fired up to have secured this band for the the festival!! The Seamonsters are an all girl, indie glitter band from Sheffield, driven by 80s inspired synths and angelic vocals. They're influenced by Pulp, Altered Images and Orange Juice along with more recent indie artists like Black Honey and The Wombats, creating catchy songs for dreamy dance floors. Their debut single 'Lost (and Found)' created a social media buzz around the band and formed an interest in what was to come. Following this The Seamonsters sound was described by platforms such as the popular music blog Punktastic as “undeniably charming indie music” and by We the Germs blog as having “emotion packed fantastic guitar lines and an all-round summery feeling”. The Seamonsters have recently played alongside VANT, Anteros, Kate Nash, Bill Ryder-Jones and The Undertones and hope to continue to spread glitter across the country. The band’s genre has been dubbed as 'indie glitter' because of their love for all things shiny and the glittery keyboards that float across their songs. The second and third singles released by The Seamonsters entitled 'Wonderland' and ‘Max and Archie’ have reached the band out to an even bigger audience with independent and vastly different music videos, as well as bold artwork, designed by themselves. Live performance is one of the most important parts of The Seamonsters and their Shuttle Shuffle appearance is sure to spread some glittery loveliness throughout Bradford.

Band Confirmed
On Saturday, Banjo Jen, the all-singing, all-dancing, badass banjo pickin' girl joins us all the way from her new hometown of Sheffield. Jen plays the traditional frailing style of banjo for her songs, influenced by the ‘old-time’ genre of American music. This traditional mountain music speaks to us of a bygone era; when life was hard and times were tough, but when music and dance kept people’s spirits alive. The distinctive flavour of this music can be heard in Jen’s original songs; songs of sinning and straying, of characters and conflicts, of running from the law and of running from yourself. As her idol Dolly Parton says, ‘We're all just a bunch of sinners, but we do the best we can’.

Nick Aslam
Nick Aslam the Hard working singer songwriter who was born to sing for you!
Nick Aslam is one of the UK’s most original sounding acoustic singer songwriters.
Hungry from the council estates and streets of Burton On Trent he continues his quest in the music industry with great support from the BBC & local radio stations across the UK which has already landed him great support slots with the likes of
Mark Morris (from the Bluetones), Boz Boorer (Songwriter for Morissey, The Smiths) as well as playing acoustic stages at some of the UK’s festivals and 02 Academy's
Nicks sound has grown through the acoustic roots of Country and Indie but displays a maturity in his song writing which has been compared to the grit of Cash meets the romance of Richard Hawley,
2014 saw Nick release his debut ep Fingerprints which was received and welcomed by the music listening public with open arms allowing him to break in to the London music scene and strike up a working relationship with UK producer Martin Glover (Youth).

Band Confirmed
Another band confirmed at this years festival are one of Leeds’ most raw, new and alternative acts, ‘Kath & The Kicks’ they've been crashing through the Leeds Music Scene and across the UK with a style similar to that of a true rock/punk band from the 70s. There is nothing manufactured here, there is only musical talent, rock band ethos and an envious vision that runs through the veins of those born to make music. They'll be hitting the stage on Sunday 26th August.

Great News Shufflers
Due to the overwhelming response we've had from artists showing an interest in performing at this years festival, we rather swiftly made the decision to add a second day to the event, which now fills the whole August Bank Holiday Weekend.
This phenomenal interest has continued to gather momentum, and your applications have been flying in, so we have now decided to add a second stage to the festival, to accommodate the anticipated demand.
This is amazing news for the festival, as it shows what a fantastic amount of support is out there for events which unite us through music and performance.
Please keep sending in your applications to play, up until midnight on Saturday 31st March, when we will then begin putting the line-up together.

This is the 5th installment of The Shuttle Shuffle Festival experience. For the past few years we have been running in the late great Factory Street Studios in Bradford, but we are excited to be holding our next event in the heart of Bradford's Little Germany at SORM (School of Rock & Media),
So why not be part of something special this year and join our entertaining festival.
Line up and tickets details TBA
There'll be plenty going on to keep you on your toes!
Hope to see you there.
